Hero of Ultramar by OEVRLORD Hero of Ultramar by OEVRLORD
This is one I'm actually quite satisfied with, aside from one or two technical issues on the storm bolter.

Like all my drawings, this one was done solely from memory. The problem lies in the fact that my memory of terminators is less prominent than that of regular marines. So I hope I have not forgotten anything too important. I'm not amazingly happy with the helmet dimensions though. Tactical dreadnought armour is a real pain to draw, and this one took me a lot of erasing to get right.

The terminator's head could have more "light" on it.
Apart from the shadings are nice.

Thank you for notifying me to this.

I really do not mind having my work spread around, but I do not tolerate it being altered or claimed as somebody else's work. I noticed that it has been changed, and my stamp has been removed.

If you have the authority, I would appreciate if this could be removed.

Thank you for your vigilance.

Not bad, but it seems the perspective is a bit messed up.

The chest emblem seems to be facing us strait on, but the torso is turning to our left. We can see the front and edge of his far shoulderpad, even though you would only be able to see the edge with his body twisted at that angle.

That's right. As I mentioned, there are a few technical issues. These are inclusive. I had to factor in the pose of his arm, hence the let shoulderpad, and also I tried to get the chest eagle right, but I only decided he would be facing right halfway through the image. Thanks for the comment, and the constructive criticism!

Remembering the armor structure is hard enough for normal marines, but even more so for Terminator armor. So, I think you did a great job on it, especially with it being from memory. His pose is a little confusing, though. Also, the magazine is twisted. Its edges don't follow out to the same vanishing point as the edges of the handle does.

Thanks! The magazine was really tricky. Not only did I have to try get it in line with the rest of the gun, but also I had to factor in the slant of the bottom of it. It doesn't end 'flatly' but the front of the mag is shorter than the back of it, so it opens up endless possibilities for mess-ups. Cheers, dude!

Yeah, weapons are hard to line up correctly because of all the different parts the have to them and it's easy to let a wrong line or two get by. Storm bolters are especially difficult due to the two barrels and having to decide where to stick the magazine. Personally, I always preferred doing a wrist-mounted storm bolter and having it be belt-fed.

I haven't ever drawn a storm bolter before, really. Wrist mounted ones are cool, I understand why you'd prefer doing those ones.

That's what my chapter master has =P That and a lightning claw. But other than the coolness factor, I can't imagine how practical a magazine-fed storm bolter could be considering they go through rounds so fast that it would be empty in no time. Better to have it wrist-mounted and have the ammunition last longer, I'd say.

Also, I can't really see a termie being able to reach across and change the mag, what with their massive bulk. I'm amazed that they can have assault cannons with a simple box-magazine. You'd need like a trailer load of ammo to fire something like that regularly during a battle.

Yeah, but it does look badass all the same. I actually saw some picture that somebody did of a normal tactical marine helping a Terminator reload his assault cannon.

Thank you very much. Yeah, I omitted exactly what I meant by 'technical issues,' but yeah, the magazine was a real problem. Thankfully it wasn't a 'banana' magazine, or I probably would have given up.

Yeah banana magazine would rape your mind (not only your, most of ours)

It's a friggin great job, mate, but i don't get the shading. It looks like he is lightned from top (shadow of barrels) and from front. But hell, why i'm bitching ? It's still fantastic job, lotta of skill.
