My wonderful holidays finish on Tuesday, so I thought I should do one 'big special' artwork before I have to go back, since my time for this kind of thing will sweep dramatically to all-time lows.

Brother-Sergeant Mordeus proceeds to eliminate a Shas'Ui Pathfinder, who has infiltrated some Imperial facility. His righteous attack only fails to strike due to the relative quickness of the Pathfinder's dodge. Instead, his colossal fist, Death's Hammer, destroys the floor before him, mangling electrical cables and causing a small fire.

So yeah. Heresy-bait or whatever you want to call it.
But no! The original image was supposed to be of the Space Marine only. I decided to add the Tau after small consideration.
I don't get it either, maybe the Tau have a sense of humour.

I actually thought about things like 'colour theory' and 'composition' for this one. The reasonably clean lines and shiny equipment of the Shas'ui are a clear contrast to the stark, worn bulk of the Space Marine.

I put FORTY hours into this, so please take thirty seconds from your clearly-busy schedule to comment. I like reading comments.

40 hours; drawn in Photoshop.

Cant help but think that the SM's eyes look sad. As if the Tau is scolding him for failing at killing her. Do like shading and crispness.

the sad part is this follows video game female armor logic, regardless of how little army is covering vital orgin int thiscase she still somehow gets a 5 + armorwith a 6+ stealth which in the building I think makes it a 4+ b/c its a ruin  anyway love this and even if it were heresy bait im half for tau  half for imperium

It's just fanservice, don't worry about it. Glad you like it, though. :)

Silly, stupid Space Marine. Don't you know you can never win?
Great use of shadows and highlights on the armour of both opponents. I like the dark hue over it too, kinda looks like they're fighting in the dark.

I don't think she's there to kill him. More like seduce him....

Why do I get the feeling that the Tau is as good as a 6+ cover save to terminator? oh yeah, she has barely any armour on, must be the Carde's casual friday,

in all honesty this is a good image, I like how the colours and the shading work and (not because I asorb the Lore like a Adamantium plate being shot by las bolts) I can tell the Astares is an Imperial fist, so you get bonus points for that.

but one thing is bugging me, whats attached to the Marines left arm? it looks like a powerfist because of the wires,

Well, it's not a very good artwork. It was done a long time ago, and as such, it has a lot of technical, composition, and anatomical errors. The space marine is fighting with a power fist, yes.

well, I like it, it may be old and you most certainly may of gotten better but this is still good, certainly if you were to do it again, or something simlair it would be just as good if not better.

I have amussed myself with my 40K jokes, you may use them in future if you wish
